PARCC Assignment

Dear Students,
     Tomorrow, April 26, 2017, is the start of PARCC testing at the high school.  On the days that you are not testing, please complete the assignment listed below.  You will submit the assignment to me upon our return to the regular daily schedule.  I wish you luck on the PARCC exam!  Please email me or see me with any questions!  Thank you.

Spanish I- Write five sentences using -ar verbs, five sentences using -er verbs and five sentences using -ir verbs.  Draw an illustration for each sentence.  For example:  If I write the sentence, "La profesora habla con la alumna en la clase." I will draw a picture of a teacher speaking with a student in a classroom.
Spanish II-  Write five sentences using -ar verbs in the present progressive tense, five sentences using -er verbs in the present progressive tense and five sentences using -ir verbs in the present progressive tense.  Draw an illustration for each sentence.  For example:  If I write the sentence, "Yo estoy caminando en el aeropuerto." I will draw a picture of myself walking through the airport.

Quarterly Exam #2

Hello everyone!
     I hope you had a restful and enjoyable holiday season.  This message is to remind you that the second quarterly exam period is quickly approaching.  The second quarterly exams will be given January 20th-January 26th.   January 23rd-26th will be half days for all students.  January 20th and January 27th are regular school days. Please note that students may come before school, after school or during Enrichment for tutoring or for extra test prep review.  I am here to help all of my students be successful!  Students will receive a study guide before the test administration.  Please contact me with any questions or concerns.

Hello everyone!
     As the holiday break quickly approaches I would just like to take a moment to wish you and yours a very happy and healthy holiday season.  I am so thankful for my wonderful job here at BHS and for the invaluable opportunity of working with all of my students.  I count each and every one of you as a gift in my life!  I hope that 2017 brings you all health, happiness and joy!  Wishing you an enjoyable holiday season and new year!

End of Q1

Hola a todos,
     This message is to inform everyone that the first marking period will end on Wednesday, November 9th.  Any student who has outstanding work or missing assessments due to an absence must see me before they leave school on Wednesday.  No work will be accepted/counted after the close of the marking period.  Final Q1 grades will be available to view on OnCourse on November 17, 2016.  The second marking period will end on January 27th.  
     I am proud of what all of my students have accomplished thus far!  It gives me great joy to watch them learn and grow.  I know we can achieve so much together this year.  I am looking forward to continued success.  Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns at:

First Test Reminder

Dear Students and Parents,
      Our first test of the year in all classes will be on Monday, October 17th.  The test will cover the following topics:  the letters of the Spanish alphabet, numbers 0-30, the days of the week, the months of the year and stating the date in Spanish.  Please begin studying this week to fully prepare yourselves for the test.  We will be playing a Kahoot interactive review game to help us practice our skills on Friday.  Please stop by room 215 any day after school for study assistance and extra review.  I am here to help you!  Have any questions?  Please speak to me in class or email me at:
