The holiday season is a time for warmth; it is a time when families can spread joy with their families and loved ones. During the month of December, the Belleville High School Key Club hosted a “Holiday Sock Drive” in which club members and Belleville High School students have the opportunity to donate new and unused socks to the Clara Maass Pediatric Center. On December 15, 2015, the Key Club Officers, Nicole Posadas, Karen Wong, Joseph Murante, Joshua Pascual, and Jessica Sison collected the socks from various members during the meeting. In addition to the socks collected at the club meeting, the Key Club advisor, Mrs. Joanne DeFlorio, collected socks from her classes throughout the month of December. With the substantial amount of donations, the Key Club provided many pairs of socks to Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville, NJ.
“I think it is truly amazing that we can provide socks for the children at Clara Maass. Every little donation helps, and we thank our members for their excellent efforts,” said Key Club officer, Nicole Posadas.
